Intro to the Arts is our beginner class for our youngest students. We will be exploring a variety of performance techniques and playing games to encourage creativity. Through songs, dance, and drama activities, our students will discover The Arts.

Intro to The Arts (Deposit)
Intro to The Arts is on Wednesdays from 4:15-5:15pm at Common Ground Studio (44 Essex St, Guelph).
35 weeks of class: September 16, 2026- June 9, 2027
No class:
December 23, 2026- January 6, 2027 (Winter Break)
March 17, 2026 (March break)
We will have two showcase style performance opportunities in
December and June.
Cost is $750 plus HST for the full year
10% registration deposit will be deducted off the total session fee.
Remainder of fees can be paid upfront or in bi-monthly instalments.
Registration & Payment
Our classes run from September-June. You are registering your child for the full session.
You will be invoiced for equal bi-monthly payments OR can pay upfront. Your 10% non-refundable registration deposit will be deducted off the total session fee. Invoices can be paid by credit card or e-transfer to guelphyouththeatreacademy@gmail.com. Outstanding payments may result in a participant losing their spot in class.
Late registrations are welcome based on availability, and cost for the remainder of the session will be determined by the time of registration.
We do not provide refunds for our classes. This includes classes missed due to illness, vacation, etc. We will not provide refunds for classes cancelled due to inclement weather or emergency circumstances.
If you wish to withdraw your child from our program, we will not refund payments already made for past or future classes.

By enrolling your child for our programs, you are consenting for their image to be used in still photographs or videos on the Guelph Youth Theatre Academy website, Instagram, and/or Facebook page. Please contact us if you do not consent.
Guelph Youth Theatre Academy will keep participant's personal information confidential and will only use it for contact purposes.
Injury/Illness
By enrolling your child in our programs, you are assuming the potential risks that come from participation in physical activity including dance. Guelph Youth Theatre Academy and our instructors are not responsible for injury, illness, or loss/ damage to personal belongings that occur in our programs or on the premises of our programs.
A participation waiver will be sent and must be signed before the start of the first class.
