Sarah Duff

Sarah Duff is the founder of Guelph Youth Theatre Academy and instructor of our classes, workshops, and camps.

In 2021, Sarah graduated from St Lawrence College with a diploma in Music Theatre Performance. She has also trained at The Stratford Festival and Drayton Entertainment.

Sarah has over 10 years of experience working in children's programming. Previously, she has taught dance, theatre, music, camps, and preschool with the City of Guelph. 

 

When she is not teaching, Sarah continues to train and perform herself. You can find her as a regular performer with Storybook Events KW, and on local stages in Guelph. Some of her previous credits include: Janet in The Drowsy Chaperone, Allana in The Little Mermaid, Suzanna in Going Under (SLC), April in Company (Downtown Theatre Project), Rosalie in School of Rock, Margot in Legally Blonde and Lulu in Cabaret (RCMPI). Sarah has also acted in The Guelph Fringe Festival and Scared Scriptless.

Mikayla Bondy

Mikayla Bondy is the guest music director for Youth Musical Theatre and a summer camp music & acting instructor (August 2026). 

Mikayla is a performing artist and teacher based in Toronto. As a graduate of the St Lawrence College/Queen’s University joint Bachelor of Music Theatre program, she is a versatile artist with many passions within the realm of music and theatre.


Mikayla has performed in everything from sketch comedy to Shakespeare to operetta. Some of her favourite roles include Ruth in The Pirates of Penzance (Dan School Major, Queen’s University), Estelle in Drama 101 (SLC Stage) and Mercutio in The R+J Project (St. Lawrence College). Mikayla is represented by Element Artist Management, and she has trained in various genres including golden age and contemporary musical theatre, classical, opera, jazz and pop.


Mikayla is currently a voice and piano teacher at High Park Music in Toronto. Mikayla has also vocal directed for various productions including her graduating production of Drama 101 at St Lawrence College, and for the charitable organization Queen’s Players as well as Players Toronto.

Mya Leworthy

Mya Leworthy is a summer camp acting instructor at Guelph Youth Theatre Academy (July 20-24, 2026). 

 

Mya is a Theatre for Young Audiences artist, educator, and administrator based in Ontario, with a particular passion for movement and dance. She has choreographed multiple productions, including The Velveteen Rabbit (Rule of Three Theatre) and Avonlea: An Anne of Green Gables Musical (Penny and Pound Theatre).

 

She has worked with organizations including Travelling Stage and Cambridge Centre for the Performing Arts, creating and leading theatre programs for students aged preschool to 18. Her work includes developing curriculum, directing youth productions, and teaching performance skills in inclusive, supportive environments.

 

Mya also performs and works administratively with DuffleBag Theatre, touring interactive productions to schools and communities. Her practice is rooted in fostering creativity, confidence, and meaningful engagement through theatre.

Grace Mason Soucie

Grace Mason Soucie is a summer camp music & acting instructor at Guelph Youth Theatre Academy (July 13-17, 2026). 

Grace is an accomplished music educator, vocalist, and performer based in the KW area. With 18 years of formal vocal training and three years of professional teaching experience, Grace runs her own independent vocal studio and teaches voice and piano at Cambridge Conservatory of Music. She studied musical theatre at Randolph College for the Performing Arts, and is looking forward to continuing her education this fall at Wilfrid Laurier University for her Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Voice. 

 

As a performer, Grace has appeared in various local productions, with select credits including Katherine Plumber (Newsies), Dorothy Gale (Wizard of Oz), Vivienne Kensington (Legally Blonde), Heather Chandler (Heathers).

 

Grace is delighted to be joining GYTA this summer and looks forward to sharing her love of music with the next generation of storytellers!
